Sharron Drugan : Registration No 70068
Our Principal Dentist Dr Sharron Drugan graduated from Glasgow University in 1994. She has subsequently gained experience in both hospital and general practice settings. Sharron is is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh and in addition has a diploma in Forensic Medicine and certificate in Medical Law & Ethics.
She was involved with a study on the genetics of oral Crohn's Disease with the Gastroenterology Unit of the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh and has published in both medical and dental journals on this topic. She is experienced in all aspects of general dentistry with a special interest in minor oral surgery. She is certified to undertake facial aesthetics and rejuvenation procedures and is an accredited trainer in a number of non surgical aesthetic treatments including fat dissolving injections and a dermal biogenesis system
As well as working in general practice, Sharron spent almost 10 years working in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery departments in district general hospitals throughout Scotland. Alongside gaining experience in surgical dentistry, she also had the opportunity to assist in head and neck surgical cases. It was during this time that she first gained experience working with botulinum toxin A for medical management of oro facial conditions wherby over development of the facial muscles led to debilitating symptoms. This was also where she was first introduced to using dermal fillers to help correct discrepancies in the facial tissues due to developmental conditions and surgical interventions.
Sharron is originally from Falkirk and lives nearby with her three children. When not busy with her work and family life her main interests are music related and she enjoys going to concerts and collecting vinyl and other music memorabilia.
